Performance Car Finance (PCF), a trading style of Eurolease LTD, have renewed their personal sponsorship with British racing driver Dino Zamparelli, who will switch from Porsche Carrera Cup to British GT this year.
TMS Car Storage based in Stratford Upon Avon have announced an exciting partnership with Dino Zamparelli for the 2019 season in the British GT Season. Zamparelli recently announced his plans to compete in a Pro-Am pairing with Chris Car and team GT Marques in the exciting British GT race series, in a brand new Porsche Cayman Clubsport. The car recently had its first taste of on track action, as it appeared at the official British GT Media Day at Donington Park.
UFI Filters, a leader in filtration and thermal management, has announced its first-time sponsorship of Dino Zamparelli for the 2019 season of the British GT Championship. Dino Zamparelli is making his return to the GT Marques team, the specialist manufacturer belonging to Porsche Club Motorsport, after he finished second with the outfit in the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup GB. Dino will make his British GT Championship debut in the brand-new Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, which will be emblazoned with the UFI Filters brand.
Dino Zamparelli and Chris Car will make their British GT Championship debut this season in the brand-new Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, which also makes its first appearance in the UK, with experienced outfit GT Marques. Chris continues his foray into motorsport having raced Radicals and a range of GT cars previously and will work closely with Dino to challenge himself in the UK’s premier endurance racing championship.
Having spent 4 years in the Carrera Cup, and after announcing that my 2019 year will take a new direction (to be announced tomorrow) I thought what better way to look back at the last 4 years with ‘my favourite 5 overtakes’ in the series. A tad self absorbed, well in fact really self absorbed, and of course, a few drivers will have bragging rights over me at times…but who cares, looking back on some highlights is fun and great to share. I’ve listed them out from 5th to 1st, with an explanation of each moment and my thoughts.
Dino Zamparelli was dealt the toughest of blows as he spun out from the lead of the penultimate Carrera Cup race at Brands Hatch, as coolant/oil from a competitors broken radiator caused the Nationwide racer to spin whilst dominating proceedings.
Dino Zamparelli took another step forward in his quest to take the Porsche Carrera Cup Championship title, by qualifying on pole and dominating the first race at Silverstone over the weekend. He backed this up with a 5th place and solid points in race 2’s ‘reverse grid’ race, to take an 8 point margin over his title rival Tio Ellinas, going into the final rounds at Brands Hatch in a fortnight.
